Malaysia’s Unique Value Propositions in the Cosmetics & Toiletries Industry

“Malaysia” your window to the Global Halal Economy.

As one of the prominent Muslim majority country of ASEAN, Malaysia has benefited from an “expert’ status in halal certification and its comprehensive infrastructure in the development and promotion of Halal economy. Although the halal market is primarily driven by the increasing Muslim population (a fifth of global population), non-Muslim are increasingly also showing interests in Halal products. As they too, can benefit from the comprehensive halal certification process which ensures that the product is safe, clean, hygiene, and free from animal by product.

Malaysia has long been recognized as the leading global halal hub and it houses many world-class ODM & OEM manufacturers that have both the manufacturing capabilities and market expertise (the “How-to”) to support the global halal cosmetic market (US$ 74.7 billion as of 2020). With ASEAN having the biggest global Muslim market, Malaysia’s manufacturer would be the obvious strategic business partners for international brands who wish to capitalize on the rapid growing halal market.
