For the past decades, the packaging industry has been seeking for eco-friendly and sustainable materials. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Replace, so-called 4R, are the key principles when developing packaging alternatives out of sustainability. Biometrics is a breakthrough but there are still doubts its chemical resistance and the possible impact on food crisis. In this speech, we are going to present a new biodegradable material – Stoneco, made of inorganic minerals. Thanks to its wide applicability on primary packaging (bottles, jars, caps) and secondary packaging (cartons, tapes, bags), we hope to realize a fully eco-sustainability and offer total solutions for brands seeking sustainability.
